We visited Hank’s high school and college friends, Steve and Debbie White, who live on Fishing Creek off the Little Choptank River. Hank and Debbie attended the same church in Harrisburg, PA. Steve and Debbie started dating in college where they double dated with Hank and a close friend of Deb’s.

Steve and Debbie served a fabulous steak dinner with fresh pie and ice cream for dessert. We spent hours reminiscing and catching up. Debbie is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people you ever want to meet. Steve has had a fascinating career as an ER doctor and EMS Medical Director, while Debbie had a rewarding career as a high school counselor. Steve is a competitive body builder and has been a triathlete and long distance swimmer.

We enjoyed a very comfortable night in their cozy guest suite above the garage. Charlie enjoyed a sunrise swim and we all had a leisurely breakfast of scones and muffins. Deb sent us off with gift boxes of assorted hand-crafted chocolates. It was a delightful stay and we hope that we can one day return their hospitality.
